Prologue - The code

It was a peacefull day. At least it was peacefull around him. However it was only temporary. He knew that every second there will someone die. The causes of their death were varies. Most of them died naturally and some of them were died unnaturally. How people died unnaturally? Accidents, natural disaster, or murder. 

The term murder which means taking someone live from the body pick his interest. It's not like he is interest on how the ways people was killed. He only interested to bring justice. He was not a superhero. He does not have supernatural abilities. He was not immortal. Yet, he still want to bring justice even though it may took his live. That was the way of his living.

"Shinichi" Someone was calling his name.

"Shinichi....Shinichi" That voice became louder and louder but he still does not respond.

"SHINICHI, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Someone shouted at his ear.

"Aahh!" He startled. The room was filled with his voice. He almost fell from his chair. He was save thanked to the desk in front of him. He managed to grab at the corner when he lose his balance. Then, he sat properly.

"What do you want Ran?" He asked while forcing himself to smile. He was angry.

"Sorry." She apologized to him and then she giggle.

"Wait, it was your own fault. I was calling you a few times already but you didn't respond." 

"Really?" He asked curiously.

She nodded and she continued, "What are you doing?"

She looked at him with a puzzled face. The only thing she could see was an unfamiliar strings of numbers on a paper..

"A code?" She asked.

"yes. It is in form of binary number." He smiled.

"Binary?" She asked again.

"Binary is used in computer and it is the only language that the computer can understand." He explained.

"Hmmm.... I still don't understand." She sighed

"For example Computer recognize letter 'a' as 01100001 and letter 'A' as 01000001." He explained

"So, every letter has it owns binary number."

He nodded. Once he understood the code he started to write. He decipher the binary number one by one by refering it from the website in the internet.

After a few minutes. He finished decipher the binary number and finally he gets the meaning which was "Thank You".

He looked at the sentence as he smiled.
