Chapter 1 : Invitation (part 1)

It was a silent night. Only a single person was at the house and it was Shinichi. Shinichi was sitting on the sofa. He was reading in the living room. Nobody was disturbing him.

The living room had a television, a radio, a set of sofas, a small table, and a small bookshelf. However the house seems full with many bookshelves. There was a room specific for books and the room contains large bookshelves.

A few hours passed and he was still reading. He was so bored. That was the only thing he can do to kill some times. His parents were not at home. No. To be more precise his parents were not at home. So, the house was too big for him. He looked at his wrist watch. It was already 10 o’clock. Then, he decided to make coffee as it was his usual routine.

He went to the kitchen located not far from the living room. He boiled some water. He took an instant coffee and put it in mug. Finally, he poured hot water into the mug. The taste of the coffee refreshed him. He carried the mug along with him and went to the living room to continue reading book.

He was already at the living room. When he wanted to read the book his phone suddenly rang.

He walked towards the phone that which was near him. He wondered who was calling him at time like this. It could be Ran, his childhood friends, Sonoko, one of few closest friend his have, Heiji his best friend and his rival or his parents Yusaku and Yukiko.

“Hello. This is Shinichi? Who’s there?” Shinichi answered the phone.

“Hello Shinichi.” Ran voice could be heard.
