Chapter 5: Invitation (Part 3-Finished)

A long day of study in school has ended. It was like an ordinary day for Shinichi. It will be more exciting he was able to solve some cases. Unfortunately, he was just a student. He was not allowed to solve a few cases for some reason. But once the cases happened in front of him he would definitely will solve it. It was his motto.

The three group of teens was on the way to went home. They were walking while talking with each other. It will be too bore if it was too silence.

"Nee, let's go to family restaurant and get some drinks. I'm thirsty." Sonoko suggested to her best friends. It was a hot day indeed.

"Sorry. Today, I'm a bit busy. Maybe someday." said Ran clearly as she smiled. She didn't want to hurt her friend's feeling.

Shinichi was walking behind them and listening to their talk. He was not interested.

Later, Sonoko was still begging for Ran to followed her but failed. So, she tried another method to persuade Ran.

"Nee, Shinichi" She called his name while she was grinning. Shinichi looked at her.

"You don't have anything to do right. Don't dare to say that you have work to do." Sonoko threatened him.

Shinichi felt chilly when he heard it. He sighed.

"I'll go if Ran is going as well. It will be to bore for two person."

"Right, let's go ran. Shinichi is going as well." Sonoko added.

Ran sighed admitted her defeated.

"Okay, I will go but make it's short."

A few minutes later they reached the destination. There were not many people in the cafe. Only a few students and families were at there. They sat at available place.

"Ran. What do you want to order? It's my treat but not for Shinichi." said Sonoko.

"Thank you." Ran smile when she heard the statement.

"I know." Shinchi said with a irritated voice.

They took the menu and had a looked on it. Then they ordered once the had made their decision.

"Shinichi, have you decided to go to the camp with us?"

"Hmmm...." Shinichi thought for a while. It's not like he didn't want to come. It's just he didn't have the reason to come but....

"Shinichi..." Ran called his name.

He sighed. "Yeah. I will come but don't expect to much from me."

"Thank you, Shinichi" Ran smilled satisfied with the answer.
