Conan's POV

I turned to the gun shot , Kogoro was shot in the head , his head fell flat onto his desk. "UNCLE!!" I ran to him , i hid under his desk , gunshots were still shot at the windows.

Did the organzation find me?! I checked the uncle's pulse...What?! its metal...Its a dummy! The gun shots stopped. its not safe to go out..A scream was heard.. but outside , it was cut off from a shot.. Wait..

Now I get it... But

It's a sad story..

I look at Heiji and he is shaking his head.

Me , Ran and uncle was on our way homefrom a case. It's was a kinda easy one. I didn'teven have to use the stun-gun! We were walking home cause Ran wanted tobuy something for dinner.

"Mmm! This boy took me here." The girl held my arm as if to show me to her father.  Just then, her father scanned me with his eyes when it lit up in recognition. "Oh! As expected at Inspector Hattori Heizo's son. What's your name?"

Conan's POV

Ahh! If a case could entertain me from this boring party held by the Suzuki's, it would be worth my time. Maybe if I stayed home, I Would be already reading half of Edogawa Ranpo's latest book by now!

There are lots of famous and rich people scattered around the Suzuki's party hall. Obviously, Sonoko invited all of her friends here -eXcept the kids. (She said it's a party for grown-ups) Of course, even though I would love to stay home, Kogoro no-occhan had promised some of his friends a mahjong game this evening leaving Ran no choice but to bring me along. Much to Sonoko's annoyance.

I scanned the crowds who were chatting endlessly to one another dressed in formal suits and gowns.

I, myself, is wearing a grey suit with maroon necktie matching Ran's beautiful dress. She looks lovely tonight. W-Well... *coughs* I didn't intend to match her gown or anything. He-he. Not. R-Really!

A-And please! I know what you are thinking! I'm not b-blushing or some stuff l-like that. I d-don't *coughs* l-like Ran. It's not like that! O-Okay! Hattori is definitely taking so much time. I'm going to find him and ask if he has any interesting cases he's got right now.

I stood up, annoyed, and tried to find Hattori in the crowd who went off to somewhere a few minutes ago leaving me alone here near the veranda.

"And yah know what, Ran-chan? He's acting veeeerrrrry weird lately!" My ears heard hushed voice nearby from a familiar person. It is from Kazuha. I sneaked closer to their table (thanks to my small size, they didn't notice me) to be able to hear the story clearly.

"Nani, nani? What's weird about Hattori-kun?" Sonoko decided to joined them bringing both girls some kind of juice.

"Yesterday, I saw him talking ta someone over the phone. He has a very serious face whispering some things like 'I will be there, wait for me.' and 'Dont let anyone know' weird, right?" Kazuha told them with jealousy visible in her face. Tsk. If only she knew. Ha!

"Hmm. That's really strange but don't you think We are overthinking about this too much? Possibly a secret case given by the police or something. " Ran suggested trying to lift Kazuha's spirits.

"I was about to think that same thought as well. BUT that Heiji-flirt said 'I loooove you more than anything in this world' with a stupid smile on his face!! I was soooo mad that I've been ignoring him all morning!" Her eyes lit with fury with a scary aura surrounding her.

"It's an affair. A - F - F - A - I - Rl!" Sonoko confidently concluded.

"I know right! !" Kazuha added.

"Will Hattori-kun really do that?" Ran said.

"He already did Ran! Don't be upset. It's not like your husband, Shinichi, cheated on you. Besides, we will stalk Hattori-kun and find out who that mystery girl is! MUAHAHAHHA"

"He's not my husband.. Mou~ Sonoko" "--She's not (yet) my Wife! " I silently protested.

My phone vibrated and saw Hattori's name on the caller id. I immediately went outside the party hall. It will be very bad if the three girls noticed me found out who was calling right now.

"Hello, Hattori! You are in a big trouble." I whispered through the receiver of my phone.

"W-Wait! How did you know? Meet me at the parking lot. I really need yar help. But don't get me wrong, I'm still bettar than yah.
HAHAHA"

"Where are we going?"

"To Osaka.---*toot*" I can imagine the goofy smile on his face while I ran straight to where we parked our car when we arrived.

Erm, is this my school? Suddenly, there are two girls and two boys ran towards me. I wonder who they are.

It's already been 1 week, and conan still didn't wake up. Everybody was worried sickly about him.

Ran's POV;

"Conan-kun please wake up. I'm so sory" said Ran and cried.

Today he can be discharge from the hospital. Now, he can go home and take a good rest. Remember. don't force him to remember anything. It would make his head in pain.'

The doctor told us.

"Okay, I will take care of him" i replied.

We arrived at Mouri Detective Agency.

"Conan-kun,This is our home. My dad was a detective. Sometime you help him to solve the problem." I explain to Conan.

"Erm, maybe after he wake up, he will never remember anything. In other word, he maybe
will have an amnesia" The doctor say.

"It is because of his head was being hit so hard when the accident happen." the doctor say
while looking straight into Professor Agasa eyes.

All of them were shocked. And I was like "its all my fault! If i didnt asked him the stupid
quetion, Conan will not be in this situation "

"Good evening, Tantei-san~" KID appeared out of nowhere as he took a elegant bow.

"Yes, quite a fine evening, or should I say early morning, to capture you." I said with a smirk, KID cocked his head slightly, "Heh~ And how are you going to do that Tantei-san, I'm quite excited to find out."

"Like this." I pressed a button and large guns slid out the walls and splattered KID with very very sticky substances. I could see KID widen his eyes ever so slightly, but still not loosing his poker face.

"Sate, how are you going to escape now KID, or should I say Kuroba-kun? I'm the only one to have this rare un-sticking substance." I asked as I walked close to him until I was right in front of his face.

KID smirked.

Kaito's POV:

I practiced my poker face for years, and for some reason, I just can't control myself as I smirked--my mouth twitching to turn into a cheshire cat grin.

True, I didn't have anything that could help me in this situation, but this is also the perfect time to test my new technique. It'll only work once, but the amusement of seeing their shocked faces will totally be worth it.

"Sate, how are you going to escape now KID? I'm the only one to have this rare un-sticking substance." '

Bingo' I thought, mentally smirking, 'You were so overconfident that you decided to reveal a way to escape, ne Tantei-san?'

I swinged my wooden sword. Something in my gut told me that Hakuba was down. I smirked. That's one less competition.

Suddenly pink smoke appeared. I narrowed my eyes, "I've been waiting for you KID! Tonight I will be the one to capture you!" KID walked out of the smoke.

"Tantei-han... I didn't know you felt like that..." KID said with a shocked look and a trembling voice. "Y-You want me?" He asked again.

I just said I would capture him didn't I?!' I thought annoyed, "Yeah, that's right!"

KID gasped in shock. 'What the heck is he surprised about?!' I thought annoyed, I wanted a heated battle!

Then I repeated our conversation in my brain and it clicked me. I felt blood rush to my cheeks. "O-OI! I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT!!"

KID obviously ignored me. "Gomen, Tantei-han, but a love between a detective and a thief is forbidden, however..." In a blink of a eye he was in front of me.

"Tonight, I'll make an exception~" He then kissed me on my forehead. I froze. Then immediately backed away.

WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!!??!?!?

"Aww~ Tantei-han is blushing~" KID said with a chuckle. I felt seriously hot now. I pointed my sword at him, "BAKA!!!! I'M SO GOING TO GET YOU FOR THIS!!!" In another blink of an eye he was in front of me again, but even closer.

"Nani? Do you want to take it further?~" KID said in a seductive whisper. I felt hot blood rush to my head, the next thing I knew, I blanked out.

Kaitou's POV:

"Aw~ Tantei-han fainted~ How boring~" I said with a pout. I grinned though, this technique is so much fun! I quickly snapped a couple of pictures of the seriously red detective before continuing to the roof and my final guest and target.

Kudo's POV:

Hattori and Hakuba are both out. And this bad feeling is getting worse. Why do I feel like something really bad will happen. I looked and the giant topaz necklace next to me. 'Mischevious Love... what an odd name for a gem.' I thought

Suddenly pink smoke appeared. "I've been waiting Kaitou KID." I said in excitement.

KID came walking out of the smoke and looking at me with a smirk. "*whistle* Your looking good today Tantei-kun, Growth spurt?"

My eye twitched. "Don't push your luck, KID!" Kid raised an eyebrow. "And how is my favorite critic going to stop me? Sticky strings like Tantei-san? A wooden sword like Tantei-han?" I smirked,

"Like this!" I jumped and tackled on him, catching him by surprise. We rolled around a couple of times on the roof top.

Finally I pinned him down. "Even you can't escape from a situation like this. Now I'll just wait until the others arrive!"

KID looked at me with wide eyes. I felt a smug sense of accomplishment. Looks like I won the game.

Then KID laughed. "Hahaha~ As expected from Tantei-kun, always giving me the best amusement~"

"Still think we're toys after your behind bars? I'm curious though, how did you get past Hakuba and Hattori." KID grinned in amusement. I'm felt that bad feeling go up my spine.

"Like this~"

"Nani-"

Something crashed into my lips. It took me a full 2 minutes to realize who those lips belonged to. I immediately jumped off by instinct and blushed furiously.

"WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"

KID winked, "A lot of things can happen to someone who wants to express his love for his toys~" I blushed furiously.

Kaitou's POV:

I quickly took some pictures of the flushed grown Tantei-kun without him noticing. I then grabbed my beautiful target. The largest golden topaz on Earth, Mischievous Love.

I chuckled, 'After all thats happened today, its quite a good name. I wonder if the critic's realized it yet? Why I chose this particular target~'

I hold the gem up until the moonlight reflected the gem. 'Just as I thought, it wasn't Pandora, but still it was the perfect gem to steal to give my beloved toys their gifts~'

Suddenly the door burst open behind me, I turned to see all my beloved toys, still blushing but snapped out. 

"DAMN YOU KID!" Hattori yelled with a really red face. Hakuba was glaring at me with a red face as well. It seems like Tantei-kun still hasn't really snapped out of it yet.

Tantei-kun wiped his mouth once more, "Enough, what's this present you want to give us~" I pretended to think thoughtfully, "Hmmm.... I think I'll give it to you later, after you all cool down, you should see yourselves. You all look quite adorable when you blush~"

They blushed furiously once more. I chuckled, I then threw the gem to Tantei-kun, "Dewa, I shall be taking my leave" I said, tipping my hat slightly, "You'll all hear from me soon, my beloved toys~"

I then fell backwards from the rooftop.

Instantly my hang glider folded out as I soared through the star filled sky with a grin. Too bad this technique will probably work only once, but still, I will forever have it stitched in my memory. The most fun and hilarious technique ever!

Kudo's POV:

I tried to calm down my face as I saw the others do the same. I then looked at the gem that I caught. Then it hit me. 'So he never had intentions to steal the gem but only the tease us? That damn thief. No wonder he went for a gem called 'Mischievous Love.' I then remembered what happened earlier and a blushed again.

Ugh, can this blushing stop!? I looked at the others.

"Did he do the same thing to you?" I asked in a quiet voice. Nods.

"We are never going to speak of this again." We all said in unison.

Hakuba's POV:

"Young Master, a letter has been sent to you." "Oh. Arigato baa-san." I said thanking my house-keeper. I then opened the letter and read it.

Kudo's POV:

"Oi, brat!" Mouri-ji san called out. "Hai?" I asked in a childish voice. "Theirs a letter for you." "Wah! Arigato!" I then ran into my room and read it.

No one's POV:          

 At the same time they'll all read:

Dear my beloved Critics,

I still remembered the fine night we have, do you?

I apologize for not giving your present sooner. Perhaps I was just waiting for the right moment?

PART 2

I re-read it again, annoyed. Hattori and Hakuba read it over my shoulders. Hattori grabbed the note and ripped it into pieces and smashed it on the ground with his foot. The 'toys' and the 'failure' part must have hit a nerve in the hot-blooded detective, since after he finished stomping he started yelling to the world. "Failure?! Oh, now you've done it, say your prayers!"

I re-read it again through my head. A present? For some reason, I didn't like the sound of that. I smirked.

"If it's a game he wants then it's a game he'll get." I said out loud. Hakuba and Hattori looked at me for a moment then smirked as well.

'You are probably more reckless then Toichii-sama, Young Master...' I grinned.

Conan/Shinichi's POV:

"Did you receive an invitation as well, Kudo-kun?" Hakuba asked, I pretended to laugh lightly, "Yes and no, Conan-kun had a small accident a couple of days ago so he asked me to fill in for him." I answered while slightly panicking on the inside.

"Heh... That is too bad, he seemed to be really looking forward to it." Hakuba then nodded and walked off to talk to Nakamori-keibu.

I breathed a sigh of relief. Hattori walked over, "I still can' believe you convice' litt'le neechan to give you a temporary antidote."

Well, I can't say it was easy....' I thought, still thinking about the icy glare look that promised immediate death if anything bad happened.

"Shinichi!"

I flinched as I turned to see Ran and Sonoko.

"A-Ah, Yo Ran!" I said with a slight wave.

"Shinichi, why didn't you tell me that you were coming back today?!" Ran demanded with a strange look in her eyes.

"A-Ah... Gomen, I only came back to get something from my house that might help speed up on the case I was working on... then Conan-kun suddenly called me and asked me to take his place." I apologized, cursing my stuttering.

"Is that so.... How much longer is this case going to take, Shinichi?" Ran asked with a sad look. I looked down, "I don't know... its probably one of the most hardest cases I had."

Ran looked down again then cheered up, "M-Ma, then tonight I hope you have a nice break from your case, Shinichi!" I smiled, "Ah." They both walked away. Hattori wrapped his arms around me, "Forbidden love.... how heartbreaking, Kudo."

"Yeah, I feel so bad for Kazuha to be with a hot-blooded detective." I said, firing back. "O-OI! I'LL NEVER DATE THAT NUISANCE!!" I started walking away, "Hai, hai, we all for the denial."

I started thinking.

KID's notice had been fairly easy this time (the notice is at the top), the time when full moon is highest obviously means midnight, as for the father of detectives, its, of course. The birthday of Sherlock Holmes.

Nakamori-keibu prepared a lot of traps, and Hattori, Hakuba, and I prepared and thought up all the possible courses. But....

But...I just have this really bad feeling. I shook it off as I headed to my position. Hakuba and Hattori doing the same. It was a small plan we came up with, so that each of us will have a chance to fight KID.

"One minute until midnight!"

No one's POV:

Hattori smirked, tonight was the night that the Magican under the Moonlight, Kaitou KID, would be captured and placed behind bars. And it was also the night he would prove that he was the better detective out of Kudo and Hakuba.

"Thirty seconds until midnight!"

Hakuba smirked as he checked his handy watch. "11:59:29:04 until Kaito KID appears." Tonight would finally be the night he would unmask his 'fellow' classmate to the world. He could feel it.

"Ten seconds till midnight!"

Kudo narrowed his eyes, as he looked around the room. Nevertheless, bad feeling or not. He was certain that tonight he would unmask that fearless face.

"Five seconds until midnight!"

A certain disguised police man smirked as he lowered his police cap. 'Its showtime!'

"Five!"

"Four!"

Then a new familiar, elegant voice replaced the announcer's, counting down in english.

"Three~"

"Two~"

Kaito tipped his signiature hat down, shadowing his eyes as his mouth curved into a smirk that all adored and despised.

"One~"

Pink smoke appeared. Along with fearless laughter.

"K-KID!" Nakamori-keibu shouted as Kaito Kid stood on the chandelier. Kaito smirked that fearless smirk. "Its nice to see you too Nakamori-keibu~"

KID took an elegant bow. "Forgive me, however tonight, is a special night for a special audience." Sleep gas suddenly appeared into the room. The police drifted to sleep as KID smirked, totally ignoring all the spine-chilling curse words Nakamori-keibu mumbled before he fell asleep.

KID looked around and hummed.

He didn't know where his special guests were, but he knew that they didn't fall asleep and were somewhere in the building. He could have sent a listening device to find out what those critics were planning earlier, but then it wouldn't be a very good test for his new technique....

The Phantom Magician of the Night, Kaitou KID

Conan's POV:

"Here, Conan-kun." Ran put a bowl of rice in front of me. I sat their, dazed from just being woken up. "Thank you..." I said tired, I started to eat as I somewhat put all of my attention on the news.

"Ohh! So this is what Tokyo tamago rolls taste like! Its good!"

"Really? Thank you! Shinichi never appreciates my cooking!"

"Heh~ Never appreciates huh? Oi, Kazuha, stop hogging all the grilled salmon!"

"Nandayo? Your just being slow Heiji!" "Nani?!"

"Aw, your so cute together~"

"We're not!"

I widened my eyes. "Ah!! Why are you here?!" I yelled, fully awake.

"Eh? Did you just notice him, Conan-kun?" Ran asked.

"Heh~ Your observation skills got rusty Ku-ku-ku-Conan-kun." He said while stuttering at the last part.

'How long are you going to keep this habit up?' I thought dead-panning. "So? Why are you here?" Hattori grinned and messed up my hair, "Ma, can't I visit my best friend?" '

Self-proclaimed best friend' I thought while glaring at him.

 "Hmm. They sure get a long well..." I saw Kazuha-san whisper to Ran, Ran looked at us with a strange look. "Ah.."

I glared at Hattori, great now Ran's more suspicious of me.

After breakfast and many many arguments and glares that would probably kill you if looks could kill...

Sonoko came and she went with both Ran and Kazuha for a little shopping and touring. I stared, annoyed at the nuisance that ruined my never enjoyable morning. I sighed. "So? Whats the real reason your here, Hattori?"

Hattori smirked. "I got a special invitation from a certain bothersome phantom thief." I widened my eyes. "KID? But why you?" Hattori grinned an annoying smug grin, "Well, maybe he realized that he needed a better rival and figured the better detective of the west was best~"

'I really doubt it.' I thought, annoyed.

Then I heard a knock. I looked at the agency's door, Hattori doing the same. "Strange, their wasn't suppose to be any appointments today. . ." I said out loud.

"Oi, come 'in already." Hattori said.

"My arrival time is exactly 01:24:34:23, sadly, I did not count the hot-blooded detective to be here." A familiar golden haired and detective entered the room holding his somewhat annoying watch.

"Hakuba!" Hattori exclaimed. "Why are you here, Hakuba-nii chan?" I asked in a childish tone.

Hakuba smirked, "Well, I was planning to discuss an invitation from a bothersome thief. I assume you got one as well, Kid-killer, Heisei Holmes of the west." He hold up a familiar looking card with the Kid's mark, clear as ever.

"Nani? You got one as well?!" Hattori said, sounding extremely disappointed.

'I didn't get anything like that....' I thought, kind of annoyed with KID, what did he think I didn't stand a chance because I was in this body? I knew that wasn't true, but this was kind of vexing. I mean; Hattori got one! And he's not even interested in thieves.

I voiced half of my thoughts. Hakuba didn't look that surprised (well, duh, I'm a 7 year old) "Ma, maybe KID decided that it was finally time to stop allowing a small child in his heists." Hakuba said with a slightly smug voice, "Or he realized that someone else might have given him a better challenge." Said traitor Hattori who was playing with his KID invitation with a smug grin.

I glared at them both.

When it come to KID, it really didn't matter that I had to act as a child or not. That's what I like about KID's heists, it gave me a sense of freedom. 

Suddenly their was a loud sound of fast wind. We all looked up to see a KID card on the window. "KID!" I shouted as I ran and opened the window and quickly scanned the area, knowing Hattori and Hakuba were doing the same.

And then we all spotted him.

He stood there. Smirking with his fearless face shadowed by his hat. He was on the building across from the agency and was fully dressed in his stand out white outfit. He tipped his hat and fell off the roof gracefully, before hitting the ground, he disappeared as a flock of doves replaced his position, flying away in unison.

'Che.' I thought in annoyance that I have missed, yet again, for another chance to catch KID.

I got the note off the window and began to read it.

  

  

Dear Tantei-kun,

You and two other critics are invited to my next show.

Entertain me as I steal the fair topaz, Mischievous Love.

Please do come more prepared, after all. . . .

It'll make the failure more amusing.

On the night of the full moon, I shall present a little gift to my favorite critics.
